ADMISSION POLICY AND PROCEDURES
ECS selects students carefully, without discrimination based on race, creed, color, sex or place of national origin. Students who show promise of achieving their academic objectives will be admitted. ECS reserves the right to evaluate any child’s ability that seeks admission to the school.
Each child to be admitted, together with his/her parents or guardians will appear to be interviewed by a member of the Admissions Committee. The following documents, as applicable, are to be presented at the interview.
______Admission Application completed in full, front and back
______Completed school lunch form for each applicant
______A letter on church stationary affirming your family’s church attendance and participation, stamped with the church seal, must be signed by your pastor and brought in with the other documents at the interview.
______An up-to-date physical and inoculation record (all grades) must be submitted at the time of the interview. State law requires that shots be taken before entering Kindergarten, 1st and 5th grade.
______Birth certificate (all grades)
______Child’s Social Security card (all grades)
______Questionnaire to be filled out and signed by the student (5th-8th grade)
______A transfer and a copy of the latest report card and Iowa (or other) achievement test scores, are to be submitted for new students.
Class size for pre-3, Pre-4 and Kindergarten will be a minimum of 25 students and a maximum of 35 students. First grade through 8th grade class size will be a minimum 30 students and a maximum of 40 students.
All required tuition and fees are to be paid by CASH or MONEY ORDER ONLY prior to your child’s first day of school in accord with the PAYMENT PACKAGE selected at the interview. This policy applies to returning and new students.
